“Bonsai”, a series of paintings of bonsai trees, depicting the relationship between art and writing about art. Paintings are layered with white until the image almost disappears (to give more material to write about and because I am attracted to white) and framed in dark wood, as landscape paintings would be. The piece is accompanied by a text that describes the painterly elements in a pretentious fashion, Unfortunately I am no good at finding words that would make the text socially engaged and politically aware and correct, but babbly it is.
